I'm a quality assurance engineer. I feel I was hired more for my product knowledge then any other qualities I may posess. Thus, I'm working to learn more about coding. To which end I'm reading up and teaching myself. I've set two basic goals for myself:
1)Learn how to design a website
2)Learn how to manage its database
Each step has its own obstacles to overcome. Step one means learning HTML, and Java at the least. Coding the site, setting it up and maintaining it. I have no idea how to managae a database for a website. I'm done some coding in the past, but managing the database will be a completely new experience for me.
I'm hoping that by using this blog to document my progress I will stick with it. For now, I'll stick with step 1 as soon as I settle upon an idea.
